There was always a hidden link and each character represent something other than just a chracter. The themes of the whole novel i think were obsession, desire, greed, guilt, ambition and wealth. Each character and some point in time portrayed each one of these themes. The many themes linked all the chracters together and even though the themes shown by each chracter were all at very different circumstances they are still revealed somehow. I like the stle of writing that Dickinson used in this book. It makes the book have more depth and when reading it made me think more about what each event and chracter brought to the whole book and what they symbolized. Ok, so one book down and two more to go, good luck everyone!!
